I went to the GW basketball game last night for the first time in a really long time. I think the last time I was in the Smith Center for a game was probably 2 years ago. It was a lot of fun though! Fortunately I still have my GW student ID so I was able to cruise in the student entrance and not have to pay anything. The joys of looking young!! :) The crowd was great and I saw a few people from school that I hadn't seen in a long time, like my freshman year roommate Lou.
The game was definitely interesting though... The Post does a good job of describing how sloppy a game it was. Terrible passing leading to turnovers and awful shooting from the field were the main issues. However, it was very important to note that GW in the past has not been very good at getting the last second win. They usually lose the really close games that they are in. You can definitely tell that this team is growing together by being able to overcome the terrible mistakes they made and still come out on top.
