Well, the new college basketball season started last night and I was lucky enough to comandeer a ticket to the GW Basketball game at the Smith Center from Heather. After last years great season and unfortunate let down in the 2nd round of the tournament, I was ready for the new season. We lost 4 of the starters to graduation or the draft, so I am a little worried about how well this season will go.
Last night they opened up at home with Dartmouth. Not a basketball powerhouse. In fact, much of our schedule does not include powerhouses. But I think that some of the guys on the team showed some promise. It may not be a disastrous year, but I think it could be a entertaining year. There was a little bit of slopy play, but I guess it's hard to stay sharp when you are up by so many points! The final score was 94-49. We almost doubled them up, but that score has some nice symetry to it.
